The commission was to produce 5 beach water safety signs installed in 5 different locations along the Purbeck coast, including Knoll Bay and Shell Bay at Studland, Kimmeridge Bay, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Durability and longevity were of course essential requirements due to the exposed locations.
The sign specification was to produce a full colour laminated vinyl print mounted to 3mm ‘Bolhoffed’ aluminium plate fitted to aluminium posts. Further to this a weather proof display case was also fitted to the face of each sign. The signs were concreted in position with the exception of the Lulworth Cove sign which was fitted with base plates and resin bolted to an existing concrete pad.
‘ Hardy Signs was recommended to me by another local authority and having seen the work Jason had undertaken for this council on a similar project I was confident in the ability of the Hardy Signs team to do a good, robust, quality job. I was pleased with the efficiency and quality of their workmanship. Their involvement saved us a lot of time, effort and money; on that basis I am happy to recommend Hardy Signs to anyone. Well done!’ Dermot Calhoun. Environmental Health Officer, Purbeck District Council.
